THE RENAISSANSE (according to me)

When most people think about the Renaissance they imagine  knights in shining armor and  helpless princesses.  Now these things are true, but they aren't even half of the story. The Renaissance was not really about these things. What made the Renaissance the Renaissance was the rebirth (which is what Renaissance means) of interest in art, math , literature , science and history. Although the Renaissance did lead lots of people away from God, it showed the power of humanity and what we could do on our own. During the Renaissance real things were accomplished. Such as the  painting of the  Sistine Chapel , the writing of plays such as Hamlet & Othello.
